  1. I loved Will Smith as the Genie but I also loved Robin Willams Rest in the Robin Willams Robin Willams would have been proud of you Will Smith

  2. if you prefer this one over the original then you are not nostalgic to the original which is not a problem and people have freedom of speech so tell me what you liked about this version of the song that the original didn't have and if you are a nostalgia lover and you think the original is better then that means you are also someone with freedom of speech and i don't mind you guys. of course i prefer the original for good reasons and not nostalgia since i didn't grow up with this movie

  3. I was scared for will's part in this but I see this and, although not as good as the original, in my biased opinion, it is no where near bad. I think he was a good choice in this.

  4. Iโ€™m Japanese.I didโ€™t know why Will Smith is popular and famous until I saw this video. But Today I understood why he is loved by many people.

  5. I said that this was wrong to try and have someone sing this instead of Robin, but watching this, I changed my mind…this exactly fits in with the whole film, plus it reminds me of Robin's version of "Friend Like Me"!

  6. I prefer this movie than the original mainly because of how I never really got into the original Aladdin movie other than all of the scenes with the genie. So this is by far my favorite live action Disney movie so far.

  8. To be honest eveyone thinked that Will Smith will ruin the movie with his performance, but i never doubt a bit cuz he is such a great and when they cast him as genie, i never thought of an actor more suitable role than will smith after Robin Williams

  9. I was hella disappointed when they choose Will Smith for Genie. Especially knowing the original animation and loving Robin Williams with my whole heart. But after this movie, I can say one thing: Will Smith was the best part in this movie because it was a shitty Bollywood wannabe "remake". That's my opinion.

  10. No my friend can't beat box but…

You have been rick rolled >:3

  12. I just now saw the movie for the first time! I'll admit I was skeptical at first of Will Smith as the Genie (and the CGI had NOTHING to do with it), but honestly, I feel he truly did good. ๐Ÿ‘

  13. This has probably been said already but:

1.) Will Smith barely has any emotion what so ever in his singing voice, that isnt up to par what so ever with Robin Williams original performance with so much emotion in his voice that conveyed the genie perfectly.
2.) The "realistic" animation is hardly comparable to the original 2D animation. The original had alot of motion and liveliness to it that ironically makes the real actors and realistic 3D animation look pretty lifeless in comparison.

  14. Well, some parts are actually funny even better than original. But one small thing, does he really have to forget aladins name? I mean 'Mr.aladin sir' is one of a kick in this song.

  15. It's not that Will Smith was in this part of the Genie. It's the fact much of Hollywood is now stale, making nothing but remakes. There is no more originality for storylines.

  16. Sorry but I just can't ever see anyone but robin william's in that role. I've seen the new film, US, UK and Australian stage productions and they all just fell short of that manic intensity that he had. No attack on Will Smith and his considerable talents but there are just some things one shouldn't touch.

  22. this was a great movie, i don't get how everyone was teasing will smith's design. will smith did a fantastic job in his role and made the character his own. i still prefer the animated film but i do really like this one

  23. One can see why the song was cut (pacing) but Disney after spending $180 Million to produce the film must have felt they could not afford to stray too far from the 1992 original when after watching the film, its what they needed to do to really make the new film a blockbuster it should have been.

  24. I can see that this song was inspired by the Fresh Prince of Bel Air theme for the remake, Will Smith said on the Ellen Show he was gonna turn down the role & it was gonna be Kevin Hart, it was because he said Robin Williams smashed it & he had no idea how to go to it so they played the song & he used some of his moves & ideas from Fresh Prince of Bel Air for this film
