What happened here? I don’t know I don’t remember Bullshit First you freeze mid combat Your power levels spike and then you shut down every unit within a mile radius after you output one of the strongest electromagnetic pulses ever seen in the field We didn’t design you to be able to do that Where did you get the EMP? I don’t know what you’re talking about Who gave you the weapon? When did they give it? I don’t know! I just woke up! You don’t just wake up, you’re a machine you’re on or off My name is Patrick and I have a family too! Your identification code is R-L-7-S-T-V You’re a bipedal battle machine You definitely don’t have a family I..I dream of them It’s hazy but I see my wife and my daughter. One moment… What are their names? If you really have a wife and daughter what are their names? Your malfunction we can’t pull any more data via download and and we know it’s there we just need to get to it and that’s why I’m here I remember now My wife’s name is war. God damnit! I saw her out there I was just trying to make it stop We’re gonna reformat your ass like we should’ve done immediately Don’t do that They’re all I have That’s too god damn bad tin man This bullshit family isn’t part of your programming so they’re gone. Eliminated. Deleted. No more Get me out of here Stacy Stacy! Get me out of here now! Get me out of this thing You can’t just pull out of a simulator like that there’s protocol for safe consciousness
retrieval You can end up half-in half-out Didn’t you hear me in there? I told you to get me the hell out I was in the process of retrieval sir We need to get the organics team in here to do a full tissue analysis of all units Re-wipe all memories Except our L-7 It’s Dr. Steven isn’t it? You should know better than that Stacy. These kind of things cost people What’s going on here? Oh shit

  1. Wow… outstanding rendering and scripting. Notice the nuances of phrases like "the organic'steam" which offer us the sacred codex's of the face of Christ.

  2. when are you guys at dust gonna stop screwing around and make full length movies out of stuff like this. It looked very interesting and then NOTHING. it just stops!

  3. A rogue soldier debriefed in a sparse room under a bare lightbulb by a belligerent guy in a grey suit. Not exactly original plotline, but this time the soldier is….a robot.
If it's a fricken robot you dont need to verbally debrief it, you would just plug it in and analyze it instantly. The basic premise of this scene makes no sense.

  4. It would be excellent if DUST could director and produce actual sci-fi alien 90 minutes to 2 hour movies because I would always be interested in these movies a lot more than usual and these movies would attrack a lot of audiences in the theaters

  5. Please sir can I have some more? Also cooliest mechinized being ive ever seen. Looks more iconic the terminator.

  6. This is absolutely stunning. The only issue I have though with these robotic soldiers is that their movement is either too robotic for war or too unrealistic. We should have developed a way to have fluent movement but yet believable.

  7. I can't give them any credit. This is very good and all, but it's not a short film. It's a lazy trailer, or a brilliant idea by minds who don't have the money to pay for all the CGI for more than 5 minutes. Good idea, let down on the length of performance.
Overall, a good trailer. But urm… no film coming…

  8. None of that made the slightest bit of sense. They implant human memories into machines, then insist that machines don't have memories. They put a doctor's memories into a war machine, apparently by accident somehow, and send him out to murder his own family, and then don't understand why he revolted. Then this guy insists his technician retrieve the memory, and then warns ominously her against looking at it.

  9. Omg, I would die to see a movie of this, it's plot is amazing and the detail of everything is amazing, please please please make this a movie one day

  10. why do these victims come out in front f these robots? why are these robots so clumsy like they made in 1980s?

  11. One: when the senior guy in the room says “Oh, shit”, run.
Two: when designing restraints, make them stronger than the thing you are restraining.
Three: never discuss killing/destroying/altering anything in front of that thing.
Four: don’t threaten things that can kill/hurt you. They WILL protect themselves. Especially if it’s their family/comrades.
Five: when attacking a walking tank, shoot from cover, not in front of them.
These simple concepts will go far to protect you.

  12. This is what America wants (and needs). Start up companies that can put out full blown movies right around hellywood. Disney would be out of business in one year. Which is why they're one of the reasons it doesn't happen.

  13. Oh man, finish this..make it into the fuller length feature it should be. From those gorgeous opening shots, to a story of the 'battle droid' but based on a human life form, reawakening, and finding its conscientiousness once again, leading the fight against the machines, and possibly humankind's last hope. I'd watch that!

  14. I love all the comments praising this just begging for this to be made into a full-length movie like this same story hasn't already been told fifty times before. Hell, they already did a remake of Robocop.

  15. The combat scene reminds me of the Dawn of War: Dark Crusade intro.

  16. Can we get a full movie of this??? like When he dies to implant, to where he breaks free, then see maybe that it was all an elaborate experiment from an alien species to see if humans could function in robotic bodies before they come to cull all humans off of Earth?
